Community Contributions
LuAn is actively engaged in her community, having served on the Board of Directors for such charitable organizations as the United Way, YWCA and Junior Achievement.
In March 2003, she donated $1 million to the University of Saskatchewan, establishing the Gingara Trust Fund in memory of her parents. The University plans to use the fund to ensure that future generations of Saskatchewan people will continue to fulfill their dreams and benefit their community. |

The
Fred Mitchell Memorial Scholarship is a scholarship designed to provide young, at risk people with an opportunity to create a better life. Awarded annually, the scholarship commemorates the late Fred Mitchell of Mitchell's Gourmet Foods.
People between the ages of 17 and 21 years old who have worked with a community partner, agency or program to turn their lives around are eligible for this scholarship.
The 2005 winner is Mandy Zubot. Past winners include Trica McDiarmid, Mercedes Noble, Melissa Wheeler, Gwen Hardy and Jody Sexsmith. For more information about the scholarship, please contact:
